Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Studio Empire admin site at telemetry.jacktolley.dev ("the site") handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers two groups of people: staff who sign in to the site, and players of our Roblox experience Studio Empire, whose game information our staff look after through the site.

1. Who we are

The site is run by Telemetry Studios, the developer of Studio Empire ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Information about staff who sign in

  • Your Roblox account details, provided by Roblox when you choose "Sign in with Roblox": your user ID, username, display name and a link to your profile picture. We never see your Roblox password.
  • Your rank in the Studio Empire Roblox group, which decides whether you can sign in and what you can do. We check it with Roblox when you sign in and regularly while you use the site.
  • A record of what you do on the site: each action (for example a ban, a kick, a stat edit or an announcement), when it happened, which player it concerned, and the reason you gave.
  • Two cookies, both strictly necessary: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 12 hours, and a short-lived cookie (up to 10 minutes) that protects the sign-in step itself. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Information about Studio Empire players

Our staff can view and manage the following through the site:

  • Public Roblox profile details: user ID, username, display name and avatar picture.
  • Game save data: your studio and its progress (for example funds, office, staff, games made, scores, reputation and settings), playtime, number of visits, when you first and last played, which game passes you own and the total Robux spent in Studio Empire.
  • Whether you are playing right now, which game server you are in and what you are working on in the game.
  • Moderation information: bans (including the reason shown to you and the private reason recorded by staff), kicks, and notes staff write about your account, such as warnings.
  • Backups of your save, taken automatically before staff wipe, restore or replace it, so mistakes can be undone.

We also keep player counts (how many people were playing in each 10-minute period) and game-wide statistics built from all saves, such as average review scores. The player counts are numbers only and do not identify anyone.

We do not collect email addresses, real names, phone numbers, payment details, precise locations or contacts, and we do not show advertising.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use this information to:

  • run Studio Empire, keep players' progress safe and fix problems with their saves;
  • keep the game fair and safe, including investigating reports and enforcing the rules;
  • make sure only authorised staff can use the site, and that every staff action is accountable;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the game is played so we can balance and improve it.

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), our legal basis is our legitimate interests in operating, moderating, securing and improving Studio Empire. We have considered these interests against players' and staff's privacy and keep what we use to the minimum needed.

5. Who else handles it

We rely on these services, each of which processes information under its own privacy policy:

  • Roblox: Studio Empire runs on Roblox, and game saves, bans and our records are stored with Roblox. Sign-in uses Roblox's login service.
  • Vercel: hosts the site. Like any web host it records technical logs of requests, which include IP addresses.
  • Discord: staff actions and sign-ins are posted to a private staff channel, including usernames, user IDs and the reasons given.
  • Google Fonts: the site's fonts and icons load from Google, which receives your browser's IP address when it does.

Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States, using their own safeguards for international transfers. We do not sell personal information or share it for marketing.

6. Who can see it

Only people with a staff rank in the Studio Empire Roblox group can sign in, and what each person can see and do depends on their rank. Staff must keep player information confidential (see our Terms of Service).

7. How long we keep it

  • Sign-in cookie: up to 12 hours. Sign-in step cookie: up to 10 minutes.
  • Record of staff actions: the most recent 500 actions across the site, and the most recent 200 per player. Older entries are removed automatically as new ones are added.
  • Game saves: for as long as Studio Empire is running, or until the save is wiped.
  • Backups of saves: until staff delete them. You can ask us to delete backups of your save at any time.
  • Bans: until they expire or are lifted. Roblox keeps its own history of bans and unbans for the experience.
  • Game-wide statistics: replaced each time staff refresh them. Player counts are kept as numbers only.
  • Discord posts and hosting logs: as set by those services, or until we delete them.

8. Children

Many Roblox players are children. We only handle the information Studio Empire needs to run, we never ask players for contact details, and staff can only reach players through Roblox. Roblox manages accounts and parental controls. A parent or guardian can contact us about their child's information at [email protected].

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information (for example, wipe your save and its backups);
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • give you your save data in a portable format.

Email [email protected] with your Roblox username and user ID. We may need to confirm that you own the account before acting, for example by asking you to send us a message from it. We will reply within one month. We may keep some information, such as a ban, where we need it to keep the game safe, and we will tell you if so.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

10. Security

Access to the site is limited to staff by their Roblox group rank, which is checked continually. Sign-in is handled by Roblox. Our keys for Roblox's services are kept on the server and never sent to browsers, and every staff action is recorded.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will highlight significant changes on this page.
